Seven Years Later Media Thinks It's Safe To Exonerate Palin

Coming up to eight years of relentless media hate on Sarah Palin they appear to have finally decided she is safely put away from any levers of power. So much so that they can use the very calumnies that they used against her against Nancy Pelosi, or whomever they choose to attack for whatever Establishment reasons suit them from time to time.

Here we have the New York Post admitting that Governor Palin never said "I can see Russia from my house" but still. obliquely through a non-too subtle headline still impugning some sort of "dumbness" ("Sarah Palin moment") to Palin. Of course the ignorant will think the NY Post called Palin a "swine"

What the imply is that Palin's "moment" was a false one whereas Pelosi's "moment" is genuine-as are the innumerable Biden and Obama gaffe's which are ignored. I have no idea why The NY Post decided to go on attack against Pelosi but Palin supporters must be grateful for small mercies. On the other hand if the Establishment thinks Palin is truly a spent force they are wrong and her endorsement has power. 21 of 23 of her endorsed candidates won in the 2014 mid-terms, we shall see what happens in the next elections. I would be confident any of the current presidential candidates would welcome her support

Nancy Pelosi’s ‘Sarah Palin’ moment

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi has just said something pretty amazing — and very familiar, thanks to a famous Fey bit on “Saturday Night Live.”
On CNN Wednesday, she was discussing Iran’s seizure of 10 US sailors who’d strayed into its territorial waters. “I’ve been to the region,” Pelosi explained. “I’ve been to Bahrain and looked right across the Persian Gulf to Iran. Everything is very close there.”
Sarah Palin must have loved that one, after the ridicule heaped on her for saying during her 2008 vice-presidential campaign that “you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.”
It’s true: The Russian mainland at one point is 37 miles from Alaska, her home state.
Fey’s line came two nights later, while playing Palin on a later SNL skit, when “Sarah” chirped, “I can see Russia from my house.”
The power of popular culture: Palin never said it — but most folks now think she did.
Now, Pelosi’s words are about as accurate as what Palin actually said. What’s amazing is that Nancy went ahead with it anyway, despite all the slams Sarah took.
Not that anyone believes Pelosi will face the withering scorn that Palin did. Proving the truth of the old Latin phrase, translated as: “What the gods can get away with, the swine can’t.”
