As Russia Makes Massive Arctic Military Buildup;Palin Proven Right-Once Again

Alaska Governor Bill Walker, travelling with President Obama during the president's visit to
Alaska expressed concern about the buildup of Russian military might in the proximity ;
(New York Times)

"Some lawmakers, analysts and even government officials say the United States is lagging other nations in preparing for the new environmental, economic and geopolitical realities in the Arctic.
Gov. Bill Walker of Alaska, who traveled to Anchorage with Mr. Obama on Air Force One on Monday, said he was concerned that the United States military was drawing down in Alaska just as Russia was flexing its muscles.
“It’s the biggest buildup of the Russian military since the Cold War,” Mr. Walker said, noting Alaska’s proximity to Russia. “They’re reopening 10 bases and building four more, and they’re all in the Arctic, so here we are in the middle of the pond, feeling a little bit uncomfortable.”
Once again, as with her "if Obama is elected Putin will invade The Ukraine" perfectly valid and prescient comment, Palin has been proven right in her observations.
During the 2008 elections Governor Palin was asked what foreign policy experience she had and she replied with the perfectly legitimate answer that Alaska's proximity to Russia made her, and all Alaskans highly aware of the Russian military capabilities.
This was mercilessly lampooned by Tina Fey as "I can see Russia from my window." This little bit of satire lives to this day in the minds of low information voters as something palin actually said.
Other Lib's, when pressed that it is an obvious satire say "well it is satirized because her example of Russia's proximity is silly."
It is of course not silly and, as Governor Walker advises a geopolitical reality.
So to was Governor Palin's statement that Alaskans are very much aware of Putin"rearing his head" in Alaskan territory.
So to is the United States Air Force which has,on numerous occasions, intercepted Russian nuclear bombers in American territory*.
 Palin was right about Obama, about Obama and Putin, about how you are able to see Russia from Alaska and the geopolitical threat to Alaska and the USA from Russia
