If GOP Had Got Behind Palin Instead Of Romney They Wouldn't Be Sweating Trump

Palin didn't run in 2012 because she didn't have the money personally or from the big establishment financial backers. Instead the GOP establishment in their "wisdom" got behind Romney, a candidate so weak that he spent most of the primaries trying to head off Rick Santorum for goodness sake.

That Romney was such a poor candidate was proven by his selection of Paul Ryan who ran the most invisible vice-presidential campaign I have ever seen. Ryan suffered the embarrassment (as did all Republicans who watched it) by being mercilessly clobbered by Joe Biden in their one sided debate.

Romney went on to throw away his opening debate performance, or rather Obama's mysteriously weak performance, by running a listless and forgettable campaign bolstered by Karl Rove's poll mirages.

It is quite likely that Palin would have lost if she had received the GOP's backing as a sitting president is very difficult to defeat. But she would have fought a dogged campaign with energized voters which would have done the GOP a great favor. This was proven by her efforts on behalf of the Tea Party and the numerous candidates she endorsed and stumped for who owe their elections to her.

In such a scenario the world would be an utterly different place for the Republican establishment this year. There is little doubt that Romney would be the 2016 candidate, probably unopposed, as it would be "his turn" and the establishment and their media enablers would say "OK the conservatives had their turn and lost so it is now time for the traditional centrist approach and etc."

But they didn't, and they now have Trump and could have had Cruz.

If they hadn't been such elitist blockheads not only could they have avoided the 2012 disaster for their clique. If they had encouraged and supported Palin in 2015/6 and she announced a run,Trump would most likely not have run as he had clearly indicated his support for her. Her (crucial) endorsement of him and his ongoing public thanks to her clearly show as much.

A Palin run would have been indebted to the establishment machine and the financial backers and would not have the total independence that Trump has. Further Palin would have brought the conservative element unconditionally and obviously would have negated the Hillary "woman's card" nonsensical but obvious appeal to a segment of women.

There is only one group responsible for Romney's 2012 loss and Trump's 2016 rise and that is the shortsighted, elitist, arrogant Republican establishment whose disdainful and undercutting treatment of Palin has brought them to this well deserved place of submission to Trump.

Palin's Unique 2016 Role; "VP Attack Dog" Without Being VP?

Governor Palin's *address at the San Diego Trump rally was the feisty Palin of 2008 on the stump. A bit older and certainly wiser to the ways of the media but still with the fighting spirit that so endeared her to the GOP base as McCain's VP choice.

Sarah role, if this continues, is unique. She would be the 2008 type attack dog but without any direct media hassles. The usual hater blogs and snarky columnists would continue to spew out their bile but, who cares. She has the cred's to do it because she did it before, but this time without the media going through her rubbish bins. Basically she gets to be the 2008 VP type attack dog without having any of the rubbish. It's a perfect role and one she clearly relishes.

She can do everything she did in 2008, this time as Trump's spearhead against Hillary and be immune from the sexist card whilst having none of the rubbish that whomever is VP will have thrown at them, it's a win-win for both.

Having Palin in this role allows Trump to have as his VP candidate someone respected for their ability to work with congress and get Trump's policies through by having long time experience in D.C. This could be Gingrich of course or Senator Sessions.

Sen. Jeff Sessions of Alabama says he is open to serving as Donald Trump's running mate, describing it as a potential opportunity to work in a "historically positive administration."
http://www.usnews.com/news/art...

Sessions as VP candidate would be valuable;
1.Shores up the conservatives
2. Would be hard to attack as perceived as avuncular and non-controversial
3. Gives credibility to Trump as having the ability to progress his plans.

It would be a major thorn in the media and Hillary's side having palin in a prominent attack role but not as the VP candidate as the media woudl have to take her attacks seriously while having no ammunition to stop her-a wonderful prospect.

As for Palin's future surely a major cabinet role would be in the offing because of her support base and her early and vital support of Trump-a man who appreciates and rewards loyalty.

Via Techno at C4P;

"An appropriate question to ask now since Trump has clinched the GOP nomination is would Trump have won it without the Palin endorsement.

As a reminder on Jan 19, the day of the Palin endorsement, Morning Consult showed Trump's to have a 3 point lead over Cruz among white evangelicals nationally (32 to 29) and then a week later MC showed the gap to be 17 points (37 to 20).

But to narrow the question even further, would Trump have won SC without her endorsement? Trump garnered 34% of the evangelicals, Cruz got 26%, and Rubio 21%.
Trump won the nomination by not only prevailing over Cruz among Evangelicals (In a state that 68% of the primary voters were EV's) but also because of that margin, doing well enough to win all 50 Delegates. And Cruz lost the nomination by allowing both.

Thank God for Sarah Palin.
Is there anyone who has done more to shine a light on Barack Obama’s naive and evil anti-American beliefs?

Sarah Palin assails Obama for Hiroshima visit

SAN DIEGO — Sarah Palin, the 2008 Republican vice-presidential nominee, savaged President Barack Obama on Friday for what she termed his "apology lap" in Hiroshima, a Japanese city destroyed by a U.S. atomic bomb during World War II.
Addressing a large Donald Trump campaign rally in downtown San Diego, Palin accused Obama of "dissing our vets" with his visit to Hiroshima — the first by a sitting U.S. president and one designed to honor the memory of all who were lost in the war.
Palin said Obama's visit suggested that the president believes that "the greatest generation was perpetuating the evil of World War II." She added, "Our commander in chief suggesting - actually, lying in suggestions - to the world that we were wrong to prove that we would eradicate evil in World War II."
Thousands of Trump supporters cheered Palin and booed the president. The former Alaska governor-turned-reality TV star and tea party heroine said Trump would be a president "who knows how to win."

Sarah Palin Surprise in San Diego: Donald Trump’s Supporters Aren’t ‘Stupid,’ but Obama’s ‘Apology Lap’ Is

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, the 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee, made a surprise appearance to stump for Donald Trump at his San Diego rally leading into Memorial Day weekend. She slammed President Obama for “another U.S. apology lap” to Vietnam.

The powerhouse conservative lauded Trump and his supporters from the stage at his rally Friday afternoon for knocking down the GOP hierarchy, blazing a path to rebuild the Republican Party:
Trump came roaring in through this primary, and he blew the lid off the corrupted and corroded machine. He was like a golden wrecking ball. He wrecked what needed to be wrecked in order to shine light on the shenanigans, in order to allow us to rebuild because, see, Trump builds things. He builds big things. And with optimism and with common sense, he solves problems.
Palin said the typical politicos won’t “add value to the opportunities around us like Trump will

Sarah Palin makes unannounced speech at Trump rally

Blasts Obama's foreign policy, says California's potential stunted by oppressive taxes

In an unannounced appearance at a Donald Trump rally at San Diego's Convention Center, former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin blasted the Obama Administration’s foreign policy priorities and said world leaders are rattled by the prospect of Trump becoming president
She was also critical of Obama visiting Hiroshima, Japan over Memorial Day “to take an apology lap” rather than Pearl Harbor in Hawaii, where the United States was attacked in 1941. She said it was an insult to World War II-era veterans.

Palin also praised Californians as “smart” but suffered from stunted potential due to oppressive taxes.
In a speech inside the city where U.S. forces dropped a nuclear bomb in 1945, the president called for a world without nuclear weapons.
But her main focus was praising Trump.
And Obama overseas now reporting back that there are these sketchy world leaders who are rattled by our next president of the United States, Donald Trump," she said. "Oh rattled now. Well maybe it’s time that things get rattlin’."

Trump, Palin Slam Media, Judge, Obama in Raucous S.D. Rally

Warming up the crowd before Trump’s arrival, she complimented Trump for “not giving a flying flip about Wall Street, special interests nor political correctness nor those sheep in the media. Their heads are still spinning.
“What you have tried to do to Donald Trump and all of his supporters — it’s only proven that we were right. Do you know how thoroughly distrusted you are, mainstream media? Well he is now ‘We the People’s’ nominee, so suck it up, cupcake! Go see the pundits; they are still so very confused. I guess they did not realize that we meant what we said when we said ‘Enough! The status quo has got to go!’”
On Obama’s Asian tour, she said: “Stupid thinking is it is OK on Memorial Day weekend for the Democrat leader to take another U.S. apology lap – this time dissing our vets with claims of the Greatest Generation perpetuating the evil of World War II… that our troops were wrong to end a war that we didn’t start.”
Instead of being at Hiroshima, Japan, this weekend, she said, President Obama should have been at Pearl Harbor.

Sarah Palin on how San Diego's Trump rally stacked up

Sarah Palin after addressing a crowd of Donald Trump supporters in San Diego.

Sarah Palin made a surprise appearance at a Donald Trump rally at the San Diego Convention Center Friday.
And afterward, she was spotted at a yogurt shop in the nearby Hilton, where a certain reporter was charging her phone.
Palin graciously answered a couple questions about the day, and gave some props to the San Diego Police Department for handling a large-scale event very well.

Sarah Palin on the election

"They're one step ahead."
Asked about Trump's chances in the general election, Palin responded excitedly.
"You know what is real cool and encouraging about California is absolutely there's a shot here in California," Palin said. "People here, like across the country, are really fed up on the local, state and national level, fed up with just that status quo, that business as usual, that has us on a trajectory downward. And there's kind of like no light at the end of the tunnel if we just keep reelecting the same, so people are cognizant of that here in San Diego, because smart people are here. So here in California, I think Trump's going to win, and that would be spectacular. That would really be the golden wrecking ball, wouldn't it?"

Sarah Palin on San Diego's Trump rally

"People ... are really fed up."
Asked to compare San Diego's event to the others she's attended, she said, "You know what really struck me was how nicely organized everything was, and I spoke with so many police officers and said, 'Holy moley. What's the difference between it because we've been to so many rallies, and there's been lots of dangerous situations?' And a couple of the officers, they're like this, they're like showing me their, you know, the badge, and I'm like, 'I know.' They're like one step ahead so that bodes very well for some great pre-operative work and then being able to, you know, just keep things civil so that people could express opinions on both sides. It was great, refreshing."

I could not agree more. The idiotic portrayal of Palin lampooned on SNL quipping that "she could see Russia from her kitchen window," was a dramatic illustration of the False media narrative. They excised the answer from the question posed to Palin, which was: "You have the only National Guard that is on 24 hour, round the clock duty. Why is that?" Palin explained that the lower 48 contiguous states sometimes forget the geography of Alaska and the actual proximity of The United States to Russia and the threat to our vital oil resources and logistics, in terms of national Security. She followed up those comments with an aside that really correlates the geographical connection to America's National Security , stating that due to their close proximity to Russia, Alaska's National Guard must maintain 24 hour vigilance. She stated that most Americans would be surprised to know that from a particular window in her kitchen, she could actually see Russia. Hardly an ignorant or uninformed comment, but rather a very sophisticated explanation that relates to the everyday American citizen.
