Sarah Palin on Potential ’16 Endorsement: Immigration ‘Huge on My List’

From Tony Lee

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin said where GOP candidates stand on amnesty and immigration will be “huge” in determining which candidate she potentially endorses in this election cycle if she decides to make an endorsement that may well determine who will win the GOP presidential nomination.
In a “Breitbart News Daily special” interview that aired on Sirius XM Patriot channel 125 this past weekend, Palin sat down with Breitbart News Executive Chairman Stephen K. Bannon in what was her first live interview on her Sweet Freedom book tour.
Palin praised
Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL)
82%
—who is the top champion of American workers in Congress—saying that he is “so good on immigration.” She added that it is probably “his number one issue that he thinks is most impacting on the future of America.”
“He’s going to pick one candidate who’s strongest on that issue and that is probably the person he’ll give the most attention to,” Palin said. “And immigration is huge on my list.”
But Palin added that so is the “understanding of what the federal government’s role is to be in our lives and… protecting our Constitution in order to rein in our government.”
She also said that “character counts” and any person she endorses has to “have good character in order to understand and receive what it is our Constitution intended for us.”
“They can’t be so selfish as to interpret the Constitution as some living, breathing document that they—because they are so smart and elite and have some kind of degree with their name hanging up on the wall—[are] going to change… in order to meet their own selfish priorities,” Palin said. “No, our Founding Fathers knew what they were talking about… they documented those elements of freedom… that keep us free there in the Constitution, so I’m going to find somebody with good character who knows how to protect the Constitution and get us on the right track.”
In one of the most significant and earth-shattering op-eds of the 2014 midterm election cycle that rocked the established order in politics and the mainstream media, Palin, writing in Breitbart News on “behalf of American workers and legal immigrants of all backgrounds,” called for President Barack Obama to be impeached for his amnesty agenda that undermined the rule of law.  Nearly two years before a Reuters poll found that a majority of Americans feel like strangers in their own land, Palin wrote then that many Americans “now feel like strangers in their own land” and “it’s the American worker who is forced to deal with Obama’s latest crisis with our hard-earned tax dollars while middle class wages decrease, sustainable jobs get more scarce, and communities become unrecognizable and bankrupted due to Obama’s flood of illegal immigration.

Bieber’s latest concert ‘like a church service’

November 18, 2015
By Mark Ellis
Recently, 21-year-old pop sensation Justin Bieber made a stunning turnaround in his relationship with Christ. In a soul-baring interview with COMPLEX magazine, he said he was leaving behind the tabloid headlines and had made dramatic turn in his walk with Jesus.
In connection with the release of the singer’s new album, “Purpose,” his sold-out concert at Staples Center November 13th had a distinctly spiritual flavor, surprising many observers.
“What the vaguely billed event at Staples Center felt most like was a church service,” reported Mikael Wood, a reviewer for The Los Angeles Times.
Friday’s show started when Bieber rode his skateboard to a smaller stage near the center of the arena. He did an acoustic performance of several new (and old) songs and premiered a film highlighting each track from “Purpose” with distinct dance numbers for each song.
“Between the skateboarding and the singing, though, Bieber sat on a stool next to Judah Smith, the man described as his pastor, and more or less preached,” a surprised Wood noted in the Times. (read the full article on GodReports)

Clip 1 of 3: Governor Palin recalls her first appearance on Saturday Night Live

Text from Matt Wilstein at Daily Beast

More than seven years after he watched a very pregnant Amy Poehler rap with then-vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin on Saturday Night Live’s Weekend Update, Seth Meyers welcomed the former Alaska governor-turned-reality star to his late-night show on Monday, and he did not waste much time getting down to the biggest political issue of the moment. With dozens of U.S. governors saying they would refuse to allow Syrian refugees into their states following the terror attacks in Paris, the Late Night with Seth Meyers host asked Palin how she views the issue.

Isn’t this a “decision being made out of fear” he wanted to know? “Their message is not, ‘we don’t want Syrian refugees,’” Palin argued. “Their message is, ‘What is the vetting process?’” She wanted to determine how we know these refugees were “innocents” and not “the bad guys.” Meyers explained to Palin that the U.S. does, in fact, have a strict vetting process for refugees, as fellow late-night host John Oliver helpfully laid out the night before.

But for Palin, it all comes down to distrust of the federal government that is doing the vetting, saying it’s not as “legit” as they want you to believe it is. “Truly there is no way to filter out those that would want to do this country harm,” she said, presenting an argument that would seem to suggest a ban on all refugees. “If we were to strive to reach ‘absolute safety,’ we would not have freedom,” Palin admitted, adding that we can have “both.”

When Meyers appealed to her love of that “freedom” to explain why it’s so important to let those in need like Syrians escaping the terror of ISIS into the U.S., Palin agreed “for the most part.”

Earlier in the interview, Meyers and Palin discussed some lighter fare, such as her experience on that 2008 episode of SNL. “That was the best night of the campaign!” Palin told the host, adding that when she first saw images of Tina Fey as her, she was like, “I thought it was me!” Palin also talked about the apology she received from comedian Louis CK backstage at SNL40 following his drunken Twitter rant against her years earlier. “Of all the celebrities who have said some things that, you know, weren't always of the nicest things in the world, he's the only one who has ever apologized like that,” she said.

Finally, Meyers got Palin to weigh in on her old friend Donald Trump, who she jokingly predicted could run as her vice president during her cameo on the SNL anniversary show. Asked why she thinks he's doing so well in the polls, Palin answered, “Because he's not a politician, thank the Lord.”

and just an aside….I have my own Robin Roberts thoughts.  I was once traveling overseas (MidEast) with then First Lady Laura Bush and Robin was likewise in the press pool.  Robin did me a favor…one I did not ask for and one she did not have to do.   It has always stuck with me how kind she was (and is.)

Newsbusters;"7 Years Later and Sarah Palin is STILL Being Attacked for This One Thing!"

From Newsbusters

7 Years Later and Sarah Palin is STILL Being Attacked for This One Thing!

Seven years after the 2008 U.S. presidential elections in which Alaska Governor Sarah Palin joined the Republican ticket as John McCain’s running mate, the former vice presidential candidate is still living rent free in the minds of Hollywood screenwriters. During Friday’s episode of veteran CBS procedural, Blue Bloods, the show took an overt swipe at Governor Palin and that infamous 2008 Katie Couric ambush interview.
When Assistant District Attorney Erin Reagan-Boyle (Bridget Monahan) questions a victim she suspects to have actually been involved in a murder, the suspect quickly becomes flustered, frequently changing details about the attack. Later Reagan-Boyle’s partner Anthony Abetemarco (Steve Schirripa) asks how the interview went and she compares the suspect’s bumbling performance to “Sarah Palin fielding foreign policy questions.”
Abetemarco: So? How'd it go?
Reagan-Boyle: Like Sarah Palin fielding foreign policy questions.
Abetemarco: You know, I-I always thought that poor girl got a bad rap, you know that?
Reagan-Boyle: That's great, Anthony. Is Louise making a call?
Abetemarco: She's making one right now.
Insulting Governor Palin’s intelligence is somehow still considered by some to be edgy and relevant. But as a show that often skews right, it was good to see Abetemarco’s character challenging the conventional wisdom on Palin.
It’s been seven years, people, give it a rest!

Insight From WebCommentary;"Media ARE Democrat's Biggest PAC" malign mischaracterize Palin

From Bob Webster at WebCommentary

Topic category:  Corruption of American News Media
American News Media ARE the Democrat Party's Biggest PAC
The American News Media is thoroughly corrupted with its "hate capitalist America first" political agenda. The allegation that America's News Media has become little more than a Political Action Committee for Democrats is spot on target and cannot be denied.
The following evidence supports the allegation that the American News Media is thoroughly corrupted, has a "hate capitalist America first" political agenda, and has earned its reputation as the Democrats' biggest Political Action Committee:
  • The news media's feverish efforts to malign and mischaracterize Gov. Sarah Palin during the 2008 Presidential campaign. The despicable acts they committed to invade Palin's privacy, the relentless misrepresentations of Palin's statements, the "gotcha" traps in every interview -- all reflected a desperate and highly successful campaign to douse the only spark of life in McCain's moribund 2008 campaign. When Palin's selection as McCain's VP candidate was announced, McCain's campaign received a huge lift that threatened the Democrat plan to take back the presidency. Dutifully, the news media sprung into action to destroy Palin and their plan was highly successful.

  • The news media's lack of any serious inquiry into Obama's background when he was selected as the Democrat candidate in 2008. No interest in his education background, his work experience, his accomplishments, his philosophy, his citizenship or any other aspect of who he really was and what he believed. No interest in his radical hate-America-first preacher, "Rev." Jeremiah Wright. No interest in his tutoring for ten years by a radical black communist. No interest in his lack of any serious background or accomplishments that would qualify him to be President.

  • The news media's support for the misleading claim that the Benghazi attack (and loss of four lives, including the American Ambassador) was the result of an obscure video made in California and circulated among a very few on the internet. This claim had zero credibility, yet it was dutifully promoted by the corrupt American news media to cover up the gross failure of the Obama Administration on the eve of the 2012 elections. Anything to get the Democrat candidate elected, regardless of the consequences.

  • The news media's complete lack of interest in the dramatic rise of the US national debt after Democrats took control of the House and the Senate following the 2006 elections. The deficit growth to less than $500 billion after the September 11, 2001 Islamic terrorist attacks on the US was followed by four straight years of deficit reductions to a low of $168 billion for FY 2006 under the Bush-GOP Congress. Democrats shot up the deficit by more than threefold in 2007 after they had taken control of Congress (the first year of Obama's Senate term). In 2008, the Democrat Congress boosted the deficit by another threefold to well in excess of one trillion dollars (the highest peace-time deficit in our nation's history). Subsequent to Obama's inauguration, deficits remained above $1 trillion for nearly every year of his administration. Sadly, by the time the GOP took control of the House and Senate again, the GOP had been neutralized to the point where it was led by the feckless bumbling incompetents, John Boehner (House Speaker) and Mitch McConnell (Senate minority and majority leader). These GOP politicians appeared more committed to attacking the "Tea Party" movement while avoiding conflict with Obama. The GOP leadership shows no desire to protect the American people from the devastating consequences of massive deficits that have more than doubled the total national debt under Obama.

  • The news media's failure to reveal Obama's advocacy of the Cloward-Piven strategy to bring capitalist America to its knees so that it can be replaced by a socialist utopia (see North Korea and Cuba for prime examples of how well that works).

  • The news media's deference to the mountain of corruption and incompetence surrounding both President Obama and candidate Hillary Clinton. When Clinton recently stated all women's claims of sexual assault (including unwanted sexual advances) should be taken seriously, not one member of the media asked her whether she thought that approach should apply to the many women who claimed her husband had made improper sexual advances toward them (to the point of rape in at least one case).

  • The recent performance of CNBC's GOP "debate" moderators should leave little doubt in anyone's mind of the enormous bias of the news media that reveals their open advocacy for Democrat politicians.

  • The news media's assault on Donald Trump, Carly FIorina, Dr. Ben Carson and Sen. Ted Cruz is further evidence of the media's enormous bias. Were Fiorina a Democrat, she'd be given every deference that Hillary and Obama receive. Were Dr. Carson a Democrat, he would be lauded by the news media as an intelligent and articulate Black candidate. Those doing exactly what the news media are doing to smear, misrepresent and torpedo the Carson campaign would be labeled "racists". Fiorina would be hailed as a highly-qualified woman to become the first woman President. Were he a Democrat, Trump would be given the same deference. He'd be referred to as "feisty" and "straight-talking" for being blunt, rather than a "loose cannon" and the many other derogatory terms the news media use to describe Trump. Were Sen. Cruz a Democrat advocating the Progressive/Leftist agenda, the news media would be trumpeting him as an articulate, intellectual Hispanic well-suited to be the first Hispanic President.

  • The news media is tightly connected to the Democrat Party:

    1. Former ABC News executive producer Ian Cameron is married to Susan Rice, Obama's National Security Advisor and Benghazi cover-up specialist.
    2. CBS President David Rhodes is the brother of Ben Rhodes, Obama’s Deputy National Security Adviser for Strategic Communications.
    3. Senior national correspondent for the ABC program, Good Morning America, is married to Jay Carney, Obama's former White House Press Secretary.
    4. ABC News and Univision reporter Matthew Jaffe is married to Katie Hogan, Obama’s former Deputy Press Secretary and currently a spokesman for Organizing for Action, an Obama-spawned Progressive activist group.
    5. Elizabeth Sherwood, special advisor to President Obama, and ABC President Ben Sherwood are siblings.
    6. CNN Vice-President Virginia Moseley is married to former Deputy Secretary of State under Bill Clinton, Tom Nides.
Watch any "debate" and note how the moderators treat the Democrat candidates vs. how they treat the Republican candidates.
Anyone who cannot see the enormous bias is either monumentally ignorant or blind.

Kevin Scholla Reviews ‘Sweet Freedom’

Review: Inspirational Sarah Palin Book Points to ‘Sweet Freedom’ Through God

Sarah Palin - Sweet Freedom
by KEVIN SCHOLLA 19 Nov 2015
Just like her last book, Sarah Palin’s latest offering comes toward the end of a year. With all of the issues facing our country right now, the timing couldn’t be better. Sweet Freedom: A Devotional offers hope and inspiration during these trying times.
Not unlike Palin herself, Sweet Freedom is unique. The former Alaska governor tackles personal, social, and political issues with God’s word as the barometer. In a day and age where Christianity and those of faith are discriminated against and under attack, Palin implores us all to keep our collective chin up.
“Americans sense that this exceptional nation we know and love is changing so fast it might become unrecognizable,” the former Alaska governor writes. But there’s also reason to believe. “While many wring their hands and wonder where our freedom has gone, you’re going to discover that true freedom—the kind that can’t be taken away—is well within our grasp.”
Sweet Freedom digs into the Bible while offering comfort to deal with the stresses of today. Written in that unmistakable mama grizzly style, the book is heartfelt, positive, and uplifting. This is a classic case of the subject matter and author making for a perfect match. Palin has never shied away from her faith; and just like the way she has lived her life, she writes this work with a servant’s heart.
[ … ]
All in all, Sweet Freedom is written by the right woman at the right time. People are scared and confused in many aspects of life. Whether it be everyday problems or global threats like ISIS, Americans are seeking answers. Palin points them in the right direction. Right to God. (read more on Breitbart)
